World TaeKwonDo USA primarily provides training as a World TaeKwonDo Federation type training facility with Kukkiwon certifications for Black Belts. The World TaeKwonDo Federation is the international federation that governs the sport of TaeKwonDo and Kukkiwon is the World TaeKwonDo Headquarters and provides Black Belt Certification. This TaeKwonDo is the national sport of South Korea and is the only type of TaeKwonDo at the Olympics.

Our affiliation with World TaeKwonDo Federation and Kukkiwon allows us to offer accredited black belts that are recognized world wide. This certification is required for many higher level aspects, such as competing in Olympic TaeKwonDo.

All too often, persons attend TaeKwonDo training at a facility with instructors who are called Grand Master or Master who are at some level of Black Belt. Without an organization to certify them, what you may not realize is that their Black Belt issuance is equivalent to you issuing yourself the title of Grand Master and opening a Dojang.

The issuance of a Kukkiwon Black Belt Certification requires a Kukkiwon certified instructor. You can be assured of the legitimacy of the Black Belt you earn and the heritage of training that came through your instructors. Grand Master Lee is a Kukkiwon certified 9th Dan (Black Belt).
